SNEAKER THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY!

"MY GIRL" just turned 7! Now that she is 7, she knows EXACTLY what she wants when it comes to designing her birthday party! She wanted a sneaker themed party at Chuck E Cheese's and the sneaker HAD to be green & blue . My first call was to Nicole at Bee Custom Design (http://www.beecustom.blogspot.com/). I gave her the details and she suggested a mouse & cheese theme, which I LOVED, but the 7 year old, not so much! Anyway, below is the invite, which was AWESOME! Nicole, somehow, was able to make it perfect! Also, I loved that she designed a "converse" sneaker; so stylish! Once I got the proof of the invite, I contacted Ecrandal Copper Cookie Cutters (http://www.ecrandal.com/); I needed a converse and knew from past searches on the web that a converse did not exsist! Well, they did it and it was PERFECT. The cookies would not have been complete without the "thank you" tie on that Bee Custom designed. I love those tie ons; they complete the package and tie the theme together every time!

Next, the cake/cupcake mission. I wanted to make cupcakes for all, but Madison wanted a cake. We decided to have a small cake for Madison and then we would serve cupcakes to all the guests (cupcakes are the way to go people, especially when you have kids involved... no cutting and you can pick them up with your hands; HUGE FAN!) Now, how do I keep this theme going? I wanted to incorporate the entire invite, not just the sneaker. I decorated the cupcakes with blue & green frosting and then topped with a fondant "M" or "7" (just like the balloons on the invite). Well, I couldn't stop there... The cake: I then decided to use "RUN," "JUMP" & "PLAY" on the sides of the cake and then topped with a fondant 7 & sneaker! PERFECT! I loved how the sneaker theme was present, but all the elements of the invite were there as well!

Baby Gift!

I needed a baby gift and knew that the mom loved owls. I purchased an owl hooded towel, but this gift needed more... I had to "Paige Reese" it. I made owl cookies to match the towel, but felt it needed a little pizzazz! I decided to make some "E" cookies to add a little personalization and the bottles to keep it babyish. Hello- adorable!

Stella & Dot Jewelry Party!

I was asked to make some cupcakes for a Stella & Dot jewelry party. If you go to their site (http://www.stelladot.com/sites/briannelee) you can see the ADORABLE earrings I got - they are the golds ones on the home page! Anyway, the hostess of the party sent me a link with their packaging and logo color scheme (turquoise, orange & green) for some inspiration for the cupcakes.

First, I wanted to get the cupcakes made so I could focus on the design; seeing it's as important as the taste (it is to me!). I made chocolate cupcakes topped with peanut butter frosting and white chocolate cupcakes topped with vanilla bean buttercream. I got the recipe for the white chocolate cupcakes from The Garden of Yum's blogAdd Image. This is her site, definitely check it out. (http://thegardenofyum.blogspot.com/search/label/cupcakes). These are delicious! I love white chocolate; probably my favorite food (that's considered food, right!)

Now... for the design... I wanted to incorporate the colors as well as the design on their packaging. I decided to cut out some fondant shapes that compliment Stella & Dot's look. AND THEN I had the idea to do one of the cupcakes with the company name "Stella & Dot." I loved the finished product, see below.

Personalized Cookies for Girls Night Out!

I know... I say it every single time, but I LOVE THESE! Just finished these up for a Girls Night Out (I love those too!) Perfect colors for the summer season. I think these would make a great favor for a bridal shower. Enjoy!

1st Birthday Party Cookies!

I love these! This was for a birthday party that did not have a specific theme. The invite was light pink with hot pink dots and the mom of Miss Sofia wanted to incorporate a flower. I wanted to make these really cute, but elegant and simple (yes, for a one year old's first birthday!) as well. I went with a light pink background (like the invite) with a raised dot (to incorporate the dots on the invite) and then topped with hot pink "1" and "S" for the birthday girl's intial & age. Lastly, tied with pink polk a dot ribbon & tulle! Happy Birthday SOFIA!
