Emerson's Ice Cream Parlour (Part 3)

These are the cookies I made for Emerson's Ice Cream Parlour Birthday! After searching high and low for the perfect cookie cutter, I found it at ecrandal.com. I absolutely LOVE them! They are definitely my new favorite. The detail on the whipped cream gave them so much character! All the cherries were glittered with disco dust which was the icing on the cake for me! The Ice Cream Sundae Cookies were used as favors for the kids... I did want to have cookies for the adults as well... I thought spoons would be a great compliment for this theme. All the guests got a kick out of them; so mission accomplished! I hoped you enjoyed! Thanks.

Emerson's Ice Cream Parlour (Part Two)

My favorite part.... the dessert table. I loved the way the dessert table looked... It was exactly what I wanted. I made:

Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes... I made mini cookies with red royal icing and disc dust to use on top of the cupcake for the cherry. I just loved the way they came out and they were yummy!

Ice Cream Cake Truffles... (I stuffed mini sugar cones with a cake truffle mixture and then dipped in pink and white chocolate, topped with "hot fudge" (dark chocolate) and a mini red M&M for the "cherry".

Banana Nut Cake Truffles... (these are my favorite).

Lastly, the cake. I thought the cake was a perfect compliment for the party theme. I wanted a simple cake with a cherry on top. The top layer was chocolate cake(super moist and fudge like) with buttercream frosting and the bottom layer was yellow cake with buttercream frosting. I covered the cake in white fondant, and accented both layers with fondant polkadots. The cherry was made of fondant and my sister took a bite out of it; she couldn't resist!!

I didn't have enough room for the cookies; so that will be on the next blog... (Part 3) Enjoy!

Emerson's Ice Cream Parlour! (Part One)

I knew I wanted an Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Party for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I had so many ideas, but knew my first step needed to be the invitation. I contacted Nicole at beecustom.blogspot.com to discuss my theme idea. Nicole suggested using traditional Ice Cream Sundae colors as my color theme (pink, brown, white). What a great idea... (I love the vintage feel the colors gave the invite). The invitation, as you can see, is PERFECT! She accented the cherry and whipped cream with glitter just to add a bit of cuteness! She then came up with the image on the front of the envelope, LOVE IT!! In my opinion, that added a bit of perfection to an already PERFECT invite! I truly thought the invite was perfect. I also had Nicole make matching water bottle tags, "thank you" tags for the adorable cookies (not because I made them!), display tags for the toppings and desserts and the "Emerson's Ice Cream Parlour" sign.

Next mission... OUTFITS! I need to find Ice Cream Sundae shirts for my girls. I contacted Kristina at Modern Frills via Esty.... I wanted a top that was classy, not "too cute." I sent Kristina a picture of the invite and she was able to custom design a shirt based on that.... Kristina suggested sewing a button on top to accent the cherry... ADORABLE!

Next Mission... CENTERPIECES! I was going to use flowers, but wanted to try something different. I found this company called Twirlie Whirlies via Etsy. They were able to custom design twirlies to match my theme. PERFECT!

Next Mission... DESSERT TABLE! I will post that in "Part Two."
